Hot Oil

The first time I tried that oil

I was surprised to feel

Flames come shooting out my nose,

My ears, and I think my heels!

I poured it on the sweet and sour,

I doused it on the egg foo yung.

It really wasn’t long at all

‘Til the panic had begun.

The label said it was “hot oil.”

I thought it had been in the microwave.

Alas, I had to find out the hard way

It should’ve said “Try only if you’re brave.”

Prompts:

“The first time…’
