A Good Space

So long since having time

and space to write

Myriad topics have come

and made their mark

But other things have come

like thieves in the night

And run off the urges, as

surely as a dog’s bark.

Feeling relief to be

in an familiar place

With friends who share

this poetic pleasure

Feeling secure and happy

I hope is seen on my face

And spills out to them as

we indulge in this leisure.
