Autumn Snippets

Snippet #1

Mingled among the dark greens

Of the pines and the firs on distant hills,

Cotton balls change from mint green

To neon yellows, oranges and reds.

Snippet #2

Children squeal, in their quest for the

Perfect Jack O’ Lantern, then, with hulking

Strength, stagger, heavy with their treasures,

Back to the buses and proud waiting parents.

Snippet #3

A giant Harvest Moon shines in the black

Sky as trees are laid bare by falling leaves.

And time is made to fall back when clock

Hands are reversed to repeat the hour.
