Whale Moon

Floating on the early morning sea

We watch, eyes like radars

Skimming over the lavender waves,

Waiting for whales to elegantly

              moon us.

Meet Up Challenge:

Each group member threw five words into a pot then we each pulled out five words and used them in a poem

The words I pulled are: lavender, moon, radar, elegant, lurid

This is the first one I wrote, but I didn’t like it:

Lavender moonbeams

Sneak between

Trembling leaves with the

Lurid elegance of a radar.
