A Kitten Sneezed

“Oh my, he’s a sick little fellow!” said the vet.

“We’ll have to keep him over night.”

The kitten sneezed one, two, three times.

Mattie cried “I hope you can make him right!”

“Don’t you worry about this little guy.”

“I can see that he is strong and can fight.”

Then the vet cupped the kitten in his hand,

Shining into his eyes a bright light.

The kitten squirmed and closed his eyes,

Then sneezed again with a terrible might.

We all were surprised when across the room

A spider scampered away after its flight.

Folded it then put it in a bag. Then we each took

Out a prompt and used it to write a poem.

I got “The kitten sneezed”
